Glenn Howard's Ontario team remains perfect at the 2010 Tim Hortons Brier. Howard led Ontario to a 9-5 victory over Brad Gushue of Newfoundland and Labrador in a battle between the top two teams.
Gushue had built a 3-1 lead heading into the 5th end but that's when Howard struck for the first of two 3-point ends in the game. After Gushue responded with a single in the 6th Howard roared back with 3 more in the 7th to grab a 7-4 lead. Howard would go on to a 9-5 win to improve to 8-0, while Gushue dropped into a tie for second with Alberta at 6-2.
In other morning draw games, Kevin Koe led Alberta to a 7-6 victory over Quebec. That dropped Serge Reid's Quebec squad into sixth place with a 5-3 record, a game behind Northern Ontario and Manitoba who sit at 5-2.
The remaining four games had no playoff implications. Saskatchewan defeated B.C. 7-3, while Nova Scotia edged P.E.I. 10-8.
