Dawson Creek, British Columbia_Cheryl Bernard and her team from Calgary added $75,000 in winnings to a season that already included an Olympic silver medal.
Bernard beat Crystal Webster 6-4 in the final of the Grey Power Players' Championship on Saturday to win the $25,000 top prize. With the win Bernard along with lead Cori Bartel, second Carolyn Darbyshire and third Susan O'Connor captured the Capital One Cup which resulted in a bonus of $50,000.
Bernard blanked the seventh end to secure the hammer for the eighth, and then scored three in the final end for the win.
Webster held a 4-3 lead after stealing one in the sixth end But Bernard managed to keep the house clear in the seventh and was unbeatable with the last rock in the eighth.
On her first shot of the last end, Bernard made a crucial double takeout to lie three and Webster was unable to counter with her skip stone.
