Pam Appelman grew up in Edmonton AB, where she began curling at age 14. It was a late start, but became devoted quickly. Through hard work Pam was able to compete in her first Alberta provincials in 2001. She was able to finish first place and continue on to her first ever Karcher Junior Canadians. In 2003 Pam began her ladies curling career and has since played in two Northerns events and numerous cash spiels. She went on to win her first ladies cash spiel in Lethbridge in 2006-2007. Pam has competed as a skip in three Provincial Collegiate Championships with one first and two second place finishes. Pam is excited about joining this very experienced team and is looking forward to competing in the major WCT events and the events leading up to the Worlds.
Pam graduated from NAIT with a Bachelor of Applied Business Degree- Accounting and is currently working as a staff auditor. She was married to Ted Appelman on July 8, 2005 and looking to start a family in the future. Outside of curling she enjoys golfing competitively during the summer and working out at the gym.
